2nd Wednesday Lecture: Patterns and Habits in Nature

November 13, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

"Phoneme" by Gwyneth Anderson

RSVP

“Patterns and Habits in Nature”

We welcome you to experience new perceptions of how we interact with nature and ourselves!

How can we observe our personal selves as phenomena, similar to how we perceive non-human organisms? How is this relevant to social and environmental justice?
Join us as local visual artist and experimental animator Gwyneth Zeleny Anderson (gwynethvzanderson.com) shares her art practice, exploring how the frame-by-frame animation process can serve as a tool for understanding the phenomena within and around us. She will end the talk by leading the group in a listening and drawing exercise that prompts audience members to reflect on their own patterns and habits of perception.
This experience is free and open to the public. Excited to see you!

At Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance we hope to accommodate you in you having your best experience. If you have a request for accommodations, please contact Mattie Wilson at mwilson@garfieldpark.org or 773-638-1766.

This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
