Cancelled: Bee Package Installation Class

In light of recent developments with the COVID-19 virus, we have cancelled this program. We will update this page with the most up to date information.

Are you a brand new beekeeper starting out this year? Or want to brush up on your beekeeping skills before the season starts? GPCA is offering a brand new class on how to install your bees. This hands-on class will take place in our apiary and will include an actual installation of package bees. We’ll also cover topics of feeding, adding room to your colonies and management over the first 6-8 weeks. Weather depending, we may also open up some of our overwintered hives to show an active colony and explain what’s happening in those hives. Make-up date for this class is Sunday March 22 from 2:30-3:30pm.

Scholarships: We offer a limited amount of scholarships for this program. If you’d like to be considered for a scholarship, please fill out this form (opens in a new link).

Cancellation Policy: If you find this class no longer works for you, we will gladly refund your money if it is more than two weeks prior to the class date. If it is within two weeks, we can either move your registration to a different class date (if applicable), you can use the money as a credit towards another class offering before the end of our fiscal year (June 30), or if there is an active waitlist, we can try to replace your spot to then provide you a refund.
