In the kitchen workshop with YAC

We cordially invite families, members of the community and teens to partake in a workshop that focuses on health and wellness hosted by our Youth Advisory Council, a select group of members from the Urban Roots teen docent program. Participants will learn about the physical uses and beneficial properties of ingredients they may have readily available in their home kitchens through a hands-on experience, learning to make items that can be used as natural balms and health syrups.

- peppermint
- rosemary
- thyme
- eucalyptus/peppermint/ and lemon essential oils
- coconut oil
- Beeswax
- honey
- Garlic
- Lemon
- Ginger
- turmeric
Please wear clothing that is comfortable and can get messy. Aprons and gloves will be provided.
Tickets: $25 for adults and free for teens. Space is limited; if you register and are no longer able to make it, please let us know so we can open up the ticket to someone else.
