National Poetry Month Event

Join us in celebration for National Poetry Month this Saturday, April 29! Students from local high schools, After School Matters and the Garfield Park Conservatory’s Urban Roots program, all team up to provide a morning of poetry and plants. There will be three poetry sessions, mini-tours led by our Urban Roots teen docents, and an open mic haiku performance. This event is free and open to everyone. We hope you stop by to hear a performance, go on a short walk with one of our teens and share your own haiku during the open mic!
