Postponed – One Earth Film Festival Screening – Useless: A Documentary About Food & Fashion Waste

March 14, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

In light of recent developments with the COVID-19 virus, we have postponed this program. We will update this page with the most up to date information.

One Earth Film Festival returns to Garfield Park Conservatory with a full-length feature film with a panel discussion to follow.

FILM DESCRIPTION: In the documentary “UseLess,” the filmmakers try to find out why food and fashion waste has become a pressing social and environmental problem, and what we can do to change it. The documentary is seen through the eyes of a young Icelandic mother who is trying to understand the issues and change her ways. Interviews with experts, designers, activists, and producers shed light on the problem as well as offer many solutions to the audience.

Doors open 30 minutes before start time. Arrive early to avoid lines and get best seats. ADA compliant accessible venue. Teens and young adults encouraged to attend. “PG-13” May contain heavy themes, graphic images or language. Refreshments available.
