Seed Starting Workshop
March 11 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join us in person at Garfield Park Conservatory to learn about growing healthy seedlings for your spring garden and leave with one 10-inch by 20-inch tray that you sowed with a mix of herbs, veggies and edible flower seeds!
This workshop includes:
- An overview of best practices for starting and caring for seedlings indoors.
- Time and materials for each participant to sow their own seed tray with a mix of herb, veggie and edible flower seeds.
During this workshop, instructor Emilia Arellano will guide participants step by step as they sow their own seeds for their spring gardens and provide care recommendations. Emilia has been working in urban horticulture for over 5 years and is the Urban Gardening Education Manager with the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance.
