Spring Break Virtual Field Trip for Families: Intro to Plants!
March 29, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am
The Conservatory offers a wide range of roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and seeds for students to explore. Unveil the magical world of botany with this virtual exploration of all things plant! This virtual field trip for families during Spring Break encourages kids to explore sensory elements of a large variety of plants. This virtual field trip is appropriate for families with children in preschool-1st grade.
Virtual field trips include an orientation based on the chosen science topic, a guided, interactive, theme-focused tour throughout the collection with a Conservatory educator, the opportunity for questions and answers throughout, access to printable copies of select resources, and the opportunity to deepen student learning across subject areas in one of Chicago’s most beautiful institutions.
Field trips are 45 minutes long and are led by a live educator at the Conservatory. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Tickets are $5 and only one ticket per household/screen is needed. Tickets are free for member households. Zoom login information will be sent to attendees before the event via the email address provided for the ticket. Registration will close at 11:00am when the program begins. Automated live captioning is available.
This project was made in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Additional funding provided by PNC, the Seabury Foundation, and the Dr. Scholl Foundation. We are grateful for their support of our programs at the Conservatory.
