Bus Scholarship Application

Update: Applications for our 2019-2020 school year bus scholarships are now closed. If you applied, you should hear back by Monday, October 7th at the latest.

More information about our bus scholarship program: For the past two years, the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance has offered free bus scholarships to schools, helping to make sure that schools around the city have the opportunity to experience everything our collection has to offer. Scholarships are for preschool through 8th grade classes and are given on a basis of need. Each school that receives a bus scholarship gets up to two free buses to the Conservatory. To be eligible for a scholarship, the school must be a Title 1 school in the City of Chicago.

Each school that receives a bus scholarship will get up to two free buses to the Conservatory. Recipients of the scholarship will work with Conservatory staff to plan a visit to the collection in the 2019-2020 academic year.

2018-2019 Bus Scholarship Recipients

The redemption and reimbursement options are listed below. Please contact Morgan Lunde at groups@garfieldpark.org with any questions!

In the event that your field trip needs to be cancelled, you must email groups@garfieldpark.org at least 2 business days before your trip. If not, your bus scholarship cannot be rescheduled.

1. If your field trip has already passed, please send an invoice from your school addressed to the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance along with a W9 from the school to groups@garfieldpark.org. Please note that the name and address on the W9 are how the check will be addressed and sent.

2. If your field trip is coming up, please send the following information to groups@garfieldpark.org at least 2 weeks before your trip. In the 2018-2019 school year we will make the reservation for you through Alltown Bus Company or, in the case of a preschool field trip, United Quick Bus Company. We will send you a confirmation from the bus company once we have received it. We’ll need the following information to process your request:
