Your Gift Will Help in Many Ways

  • Urban Roots Teen Environmental Justice Program

Help provide meaningful and paid-job skills training to local teens in partnership with Al Raby High School.

  • School Field Trips and Educational Resources

Before the pandemic, over 20,000 Chicago students visit the Garfield Park Conservatory on field trips each year at no cost.  During the pandemic closure, education staff created remote learning resources like our Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) curriculum guides and virtual field trips for our 8 West Side partner schools and beyond.  Now, we have brought back in-person field trip offerings and have kept virtual offerings to provide more access to all.

  • Providing Local Produce to West Side Community Partners

The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance grows, harvests and donates produce from our Demonstration Garden and Giving Garden. In 2020, we donated 901 pounds of produce and over 300 seedlings to the community!

  • Free programs for all ages

Popular programs like yoga, 2nd Wednesday Lectures, gardening and beekeeping demonstrations are continuing on virtual platforms as we slowly bring back in-person activities on-site.

  • Special Exhibitions

The Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and the Chicago Park District partner to bring large exhibits and Annual Flower Shows.
