Garfield Park Conservatory has teamed up with Teaching Artist Juarez Hawkins to offer a 5-week mixed media art class. Classes will take place in-person at Garfield Park Conservatory on Thursday mornings at 10am from April 20th through May 18th.

This class is intended for individuals age 55+ only.

Do you want to try an art class, but don’t know where to begin? Do you have art skills and are seeking new directions? Do you want to create designs that can be printed on fabric, greeting cards and gift wrap, as well as limited editions? Do you want cool art making activities that can be done with the family? Then this class is for you!

Students will learn a variety of creative techniques for working with paper, including stamping, embossing, staining, marbling, and gel printing.

Whether you are looking to azz up your stationery, customize invitations, or create greeting cards for any occasion – your paper will never be the same!
