Blossoming Bronze: Music of Bali

In Bali, outdoor ceremonies honor the balance and coexistence of people and nature. While contributors to the ceremonies create flower offerings on banana leaves, the sounds of gamelan music, the traditional bronze instruments of Bali, can be heard, travelling over miles of rice paddies. In this performance series for all ages, Chicago Balinese Gamelan celebrates the Balinese values of recognizing and revering nature and Mother Earth.
