A Free Concert Series for Chicago
From the Musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Performers: Kozue Funakoshi (violin), Rong-Yan Tang (violin), Diane Mues (viola), and Daniel Katz (cello)

The program includes:

I. Franz Joseph Haydn – String Quartet in D Major, Opus 64, No. 5, “The Lark”

  • Allegro Moderato
  • Adagio, Cantabile
  • Menuetto Allegretto
  • Finale Vivace

II. Antonin Dvorak – String Quartet No. 12 in F Major, “The American”

  • Allegro Ma Non Troppo
  • Lento
  • Molto Vivace
  • Finale. Vivace Ma Non Troppo

“From the Heart of the Orchestra” is a series of free performances by the Musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra during their strike for a fair contract. All concerts – whether by chamber groups or full orchestra – are free of charge, but advanced registration is required.
