Spend an hour with our honeybees as we inspect a few hives and harvest honey. Did you know that a single honey bee produces about 1/12 teaspoon of honey in her lifetime? And that a honey bee colony will fly about 50 thousand miles and visit 2 million flowers to collect enough nectar to make just 1 pound of honey? Join us on Saturday for a live visit into our beehives! This demonstration is free, but we welcome donations to help offset programming costs.
