Elizabeth Morse Genius Children’s Garden

Thank you for helping us meet the challenge grant! We have successfully raised $6,965,434 towards this incredible project. Thank you to all who have supported the EMG Children’s Garden renovation, we could not be at this stage without you. Thank you for investing in equitable access to nature and helping us build this accessible resource in Garfield Park. We can’t wait to celebrate the reopening with you and your family! Stay tuned for more updates.

After 20 years, the beloved 6,000 square-foot indoor Children’s Garden has been completely reimagined. This free, state of the art nature playscape will bring hours of joy and immersive learning. The new garden and playscape will provide a year-round, accessible adventure for Garfield Park and Chicago families. A wheel-chair accessible spiral ramp makes its way up to the top of the historic glass roof, with a one-of-a-kind climber, specially designed for the Conservatory.
