Floral Arrangements: Thanksgiving Centerpieces

Timed to coincide with Thanksgiving celebrations, students will learn how to make a Thanksgiving Day centerpiece using oasis foam, cut flowers, fruits and vegetables, and other accessories for a truly autumnal display. Materials will be provided so students can create their own arrangement, choosing flowers or produce they wish to include. Following a quick demonstration students will begin with the assistance of the instructor.
About the Instructor: Jason Toth is a floriculturist for the Chicago Park District at the Garfield Park Conservatory. He manages the Urban Demonstration Garden in the warm season and Show House during the Holiday and Spring Flower Shows. His previous experience includes making floral displays for various retail outlets.
