Getting Grounded Lecture

Getting Grounded in the Global Garden:  Simple Ways to Reconnect with Nature in Every Season

In our busy, urban, modern lifestyle, most of us are somewhat disconnected from our physical bodies.  A lot of us tend to live mostly in our heads and are out of touch with the rest of our bodies.  Our expanding involvement with digital devices has increased that tendency and will continue to do so as we use the internet for more and more daily activities.

Gardening can be a great practice for reconnecting with our bodies, reconnecting with plants and nature and the planet on which we all live.  But in Chicago, how can we stay connected with nature during the long, cold months of winter?

In this interactive presentation, you’ll learn some simple practices you can use in every season of the year to help you enliven your connection to plants, to Nature, and to the global garden in which we all live.
