The cabbages in the Cabbage Patch may be done growing but the conversation continues! Join us for a screening of the film Growing Cities (link opens new window in YouTube) by filmmaker Dan Susman followed by a panel discussion with local experts around the importance and challenges of growing in Chicago. This will be an informative and collaborative discussion around urban agriculture and land use. Please check back for a full list of panelists.

Film description: From rooftop farmers to backyard beekeepers, Americans are growing food like never before. Growing Cities goes coast to coast to tell the inspiring stories of these intrepid urban farmers, activists, and everyday city-dwellers who are challenging the way this country feeds itself. From those growing in backyards to make ends meet to educators teaching kids to eat healthier, viewers find that urban farming is about much more than simply good food.
