Enjoy the beauty of Chicago’s parks at home! Each year, Chicago Park District staff and contractors grow flowers over the winter to plant in gardens throughout the city. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to hire the seasonal staff and contractors that would normally plant and care for these flowers in the summer.
To make sure that the flowers don’t go to waste, the Chicago Park District is partnering with the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance to sell the plants. Plants can be purchased through an online marketplace beginning Wednesday, May 20 at 10:00 AM for contactless curbside pickup at the Garfield Park Conservatory on May 28, 29, 30 or 31. Once orders are placed, customers will receive a confirmation email with a link to choose their pick-up time (check spam or promotions folder if you don’t see it right away).
