Garfield Park Conservatory has teamed up with Joffrey Ballet to offer an in-person 8-week in-person interactive dance and movement class for individuals age 55+!

This 8-week program will help participants to rejuvenate, restore, and reconnect to their own selves and become better in tune with their surrounding environment and fellow participants through dance. This call will include a combination of standing and sitting activities. Skills practiced will include the “Brain Dance,” which activates the central nervous system and opens neural pathways, improves mental concentration and body coordination. Other proponents will include interactive group activities and a memory exercise in learning ballet-based choreography to highlight participants’ artistic expression through a culminating performance.
