Music Under Glass: Compass Rose Sextet
July 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us on the 4th Wednesday of July through October to enjoy free live music in our next installment of Music Under Glass.
We have a great line-up for all ages! This month, enjoy The Musical Travelogue by Compass Rose Sextet – celebrated Chicago artists performing World Folk & Gypsy Jazz. Compass Rose Sextet has moved about the globe with their ears open, intrigued by new sounds. As a result, they connect with diverse musical cultures, producing thoughtful compositions built around catchy and sophisticated structures. The ensemble–two violins, mandolin, guitar, string bass, and percussion—combines melody, harmony, and rhythm in exciting patterns. This is world music that is fresh, appealing to listeners and dancers alike.
