Potential volunteers can attend one of our monthly sessions to gather information and obtain an application and learn about the application process, or applicants can attend one of these sessions after the application process has begun. These sessions include information about the variety of volunteer opportunities we offer and the nuts-and-bolts of volunteering with us.

Join us as we celebrate the beloved honey bee. Our volunteer beekeepers are hosting demonstrations to learn the role bees play with pollination and the food we eat, we’ll taste honey from around Chicago, and extract honey from our hives!
Wednesdays, September 7, 14, & 21 the Conservatory is staying open until 9 pm to provide visitors an extra hour to view solarise before the exhibit closes on September 22.
