Transform a donated or well-loved blazer into a one-of-a-kind wearable art piece in this hands-on upcycling workshop. Using materials such as grommets, rhinestones, safety pins, brooches, chains, patches, lace, pockets, and reclaimed zippers, participants will creatively reimagine existing garments through meaningful embellishment and personal expression.
In addition to upcycling a blazer, participants will create a naturally inspired accessory by hammering ferns and other botanicals onto scarves or bandanas, transferring the plants’ pigments and shapes directly onto fabric to create unique botanical prints.

What to Bring
Participants are encouraged to bring:
- A blazer or jacket they’d like to transform and upcycle
- A blank cotton scarf or bandana for botanical hammer printing
A selection of embellishment materials, including patches, chains, rhinestones, safety pins, lace, zippers, and other decorative elements, will be provided. Botanical materials will also be available for fabric printing. Participants are welcome to bring additional embellishments or materials they’d like to incorporate into their designs.
Please note that supplies are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bringing your own garments and fabric items will help ensure you can fully participate in all workshop activities.
