Join Black Film Club Collective and Black Plant It 2026: Oracle of Evergreen for an afternoon of film, exploration, and conversation at Garfield Park Conservatory.
This curated program features three short films that explore Black relationships to land, nature, environmental justice, memory, and place, with a special focus on Chicago landscapes and communities.
Guests are invited to experience the Conservatory before gathering for a film screening and community discussion connecting cinema with the perspectives of gardeners, artists, herbalists, and cultural practitioners. Together, we’ll reflect on what the land remembers, what our communities have cultivated, and what we are planting for future generations.
This event is free with registration.
